Most importantly, your home is unique and the most beautiful because it’s yours. It’s where you live, have your emotions and memories. A family photo session at home does not have to cover the whole place. Usually I take photos in two/three places like living room, kitchen or bedroom. I suggest to choose the places where most of the light enters. However, it’s up to you to choose the most convenient place for our lifestyle session. I really like shooting in the bedroom. You can easily cuddle or play with your kids and it looks so natural. It would be great if you could prepare a white bedding set or just a plain white sheet. I guarantee that photos taken in such a scenario would look amazing and much better than on any other colorful duvet. I also suggest you tidy up your room before the session, move away equipment like phone chargers, dirty dishes, laundry baskets, video games, tissue boxes etc. You can even put some fresh flowers around.
